Ultrasound
Is Ultrasound currently under-valued and under-used in preventative health?
Easy to perform, it is a safe option as no radiation is involved unlike X-rays or CT scans.
It provides a health picture of many different parts of the body, particularly internal organs where problems can take a long time to develop into obvious, sometimes late-stage symptoms.
Historically it has mainly been used to aid diagnosis; but with the cost becoming more readily affordable, relative to other types of preventative health expenditure, what could the benefits be of wider application?
